A guitar and voice duo out of Colombo, an events arm behind it, and a monthly daytime social launching in September. English and Sinhala, mixed all evening.
Two players,
no stage build
A duo fits a room a band cannot. There is no stage to build, no soundcheck that swallows the afternoon, and no wall of volume between you and the people who flew a long way to be there. Guitar, voice, and a PA that arrives in the back of a car.
The repertoire is deliberately mixed. English standards and current material sit beside Sinhala songs that half the room grew up on, and the switch happens mid set rather than being announced from the microphone.
Most of the week they play residencies around Colombo, in restaurants where the tables are still full at eleven. That is where the reading of a room gets learned, and it is the reason a wedding evening does not run to a script.
Ceremony and drinks
Acoustic where the venue allows. Processional, signing, and the hour after.
Dinner sets
Under the conversation rather than over it.
The late evening
Shoes off, floor filling. Reading the room beats reading the setlist.
Residencies
The weekly pub and restaurant work already in the diary.
